Harbour Therapy

How can therapy help?

You may seek help when you are experiencing feelings of being overwhelmed, and levels of anxiety, depression, or distress that are holding you back from the life you want to live. Life changes such as bereavement, divorce, difficulties at work can make us feel lost, trapped, anxious, angry, ashamed, or despairing.

Recognising that we need help is a brave and important first step on the journey towards healing. Therapy can help you understand your current emotions, experiences and relationships.

You may be finding that coping mechanisms that worked for you in the past are no longer helpful. You may feel stuck in old patterns of behaviour and relationships, and not able to see a clear path to change. These older coping strategies may need to be replaced with new ways of understanding yourself, relating to others, and making decisions that empower you to be free from anxiety and fulfil your potential.

I offer a safe, confidential, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you will be heard and supported.

I use a type of psychotherapy called Transactional Analysis which accounts for the ways that our current feelings and behaviours can be rooted in relationships, events, and patterns from the past. This approach offers a safe, blame-free, and structured way to explore how past difficulties, traumas, and broken attachments can impact life in the present. Transactional Analysis provides tools to develop a clearer sense of who we are and what we need, and offers paths to understanding ourselves and our relationships, changing and healing.
